Laury is of Māori and Scottish descent, born and raised in Tāmaki Makaurau, her tupuna hail from Te Tai Tokerau and Waikato. She holds a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Business (Human Resource Management and Employment Relations Management) from Auckland University of Technology. Her Masters research was based around health and wellbeing for Māori and Pacific tangata in the workplace, with a focus on work life balance and the inclusion and the importance of whānau in the lives of our Māori and Pacific workforce. Laury joins Hāpai te Hauora after working in various administration roles across Auckland University of Technology over the last 12 years. She is looking forward to getting on board the hauora waka in a direction of health and wellbeing for all. She is motivated and supported by her whānau in everything she does.
