The Human Nutrition Unit, a nutrition research clinic affiliated with the University of Auckland, are currently recruiting for a study investigating the effects of skipping breakfast on blood glucose control in people with type 2 diabetes.

The main inclusion criteria is:

  • aged 40-60 years
  • overweight
  • diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes (on Metformin or diet controlled only)
  • no other malabsorptive or metabolic disorder (i.e. gastroparesis, coeliac disease)

Recruitment and will continue until August.
